‘Walk the Coffin Trail’ – Sunday 16th July 2017 at 2pm

Join the Fradley History Group on a walk leaving from St.Stephens Church, Fradley.

The walk is approx. 4.5 miles and takes walkers along the coffin trail from Fradley to All Saints Church in Alrewas, then along the canal to Fradley Junction and on to Fradley, finishing back at St. Stephens Church. The walk should take a maximum of 2 hours to complete.

Fradley Heritage Group was set up earlier this year to promote 3 main areas of village life that would benefit from time and resources being put into them. These are: History, Culture and Environment. Fradley History Society is now well-established and exhibited at the recent flower festival at St. Stephens Church. The ‘Coffin Trail walk’ is the first of a series of walks, that aim to encourage families to explore and understand some of the history of Fradley.

Other walks based around the environment will also be scheduled in time. Our ultimate aim will be to produce a leaflet with a number of walks shown around Fradley, highlighting various aspects of the village.
